FAQ – Potential Students

To start, you only need to fill out the application form on-line, pay the application fee of $100 and upload the documents requested. Use the link below: https://indiana.internexus.edu/apply-now-2/
We always try to issue the Welcome Packet (with I-20, visa instructions, etc) within 72 hours after the application fee is paid.
First you must pick a location and apply to that location/city To apply you need to: 1. Fill out the application form online https://indiana.internexus.edu/apply-now-2/ 2. Pay for the application fee ($100) 3. Upload transfer documents (copy of passport required, preferably a copy of current visa and current school I-20) 4. We will send you an acceptance letter and transfer form. Please send both documents to your school. As soon as we have it back completed by them we will prepare your I20 and send an email with the instructions to start classes. The student must start attending classes within five months of the last day he or she attended classes or the next available session, whichever comes sooner.
We have 4 week sessions, and can accept students on any of these start dates. We prefer to have a student begin with the beginning of a term, and further encourage them not to start in the 3rd session unless they are transferring from another school. We do not have deadlines for getting documentation, but we strongly recommend doing the application at least 45 days before the desired start date. Especially right now with the embassies being so backlogged!
We do accept tourist visa students. But, only for "semi-intensive" classes, or short programs (1-3 months). This is a legal requirement of the US government.
We recommend applying for a minimum of one term as we have seen many people rejected for shorter time periods (or they are told to apply for a tourist visa instead). For one term of study a student will pay $2550 in tuition, and the cost of living would be $1800. Plus ($400/month for a spouse, and $300/month for a child). So, for a single student studying for one term (3 months) the minimum they should show in their bank account would be USD $4350. We can do from 3 months to 1 year on the I-20 depending on the student's proof of funds. We always make sure we extend the I-20 automatically as long as the student is paying their tuition and staying enrolled in classes (or on a school approved vacation). The F-1 visa does not need to be extended as long as the student is in the USA and has a valid (current) I-20.
We do not currently charge extra for changing the start date. The only extra charge that could apply is if we have to ship new documents (if the email exception is lifted at some point).
We do not have any specific conditions. We welcome all students! The US government does require certain items in order to get an F-1 student visa. But, we will help you through this process.
Yes. We will give you the documents for your spouse to apply for an F-2 dependent visa, and they can apply at the same time. Only a legal spouse or child qualifies as a dependent. Parents, siblings, and other relatives do not!
Yes! We can help with the change of status from any visa to F-1 student status. This is different from having a student visa, because you cannot leave the country after changing to F-1 “status” like you can if you go home and apply for an F-1 visa! We have a good relationship with some paralegals and a lawyer that we can refer you to as well. We also have a Brazilian consultant that can prepare you for the visa interview if you would like. To begin the process you must apply with our school, and after that contact the company that will help you with your process to get your visa.

FAQ – Current Students

You must get an invoice monthly in your email (between 24/25 of each month). Your due date is 7 days after the date you received it. A fee of $40 will be applied after the due date. Attendance is part of grading for English classes, so if a student misses more than 20% of classes in a term they will fail. A student can fail the same level twice, and can fail any level 3 times before being expelled from the school. Homework is assigned by the teachers for each class, and it is part of the total grade. You must have a documented excuse in order to remove an absent day from your attendance. Contact your teacher directly about it.
You will have access to an E-book and/or a physical book for each level. Also, you will have a login information for your assignments and tests (My English Lab). Only the physical one has an additional fee.
Internexus Indiana do not offer on-line classes at this moment for the F1 students. Only for the non F1 students (Residents, asylum, tourists and so forth)
From fundamentals to Academic level. We have 8 levels. Each level has 3 months (3 sessions). A student can fail the same level twice, and can fail any level 3 times before being expelled from the school.
Students must request vacation at least 1 month before the desired vacation-session begins. After completing two full terms (six months studying), students may be eligible for their first annual vacation. If they start at the beginning of a term, they will study for two full terms. If they don’t start at the beginning of a term, they need to study two full terms before they get a vacation. Students must be in good financial standing with the school in order to take a vacation. Students on academic probation cannot take a vacation. Students are eligible for their next vacation six months after their first vacation. Vacations can be for one session, two sessions, or for a complete term. It is recommended that students take an entire term for vacation to prevent interruptions that will lead to their failing their current level. Upon approval of the vacation, students will be notified of the date their vacation begins and the date that they must return to classes, which will always be the first day of a session. Please email: Indianapolis@antares.edu
We will process extensions automatically, for six months, as the end date approaches unless you have graduated from our program, you request that we do not extend, or you fail to continue in attendance and tuition payment. If you would like to request a different length of extension or you need it before then, we can provide it. For extensions longer than 6 months or requested in advance, please send us your most recent bank statement to Indianapolis@antares.edu
Please email us the reason why you need to finish your studies and your last day of classes. Keep in mind that if we terminate your records before you complete your program you must leave the Country within 15 days, in case you do not have a change of status approved. In case you are in the process of changing status make sure you can be terminated before approval in order to avoid any issues with your process. Please email: Indianapolis@antares.edu
We need to give you a letter of Waiver from our school. First, take this letter to the Social Security office nearest you. Ask them for a “Letter of Waiver” to get a driver license. Once they give you this letter, schedule an appointment at the DMV and take the letter with you to apply for a driver license. You will also need to bring other documents with you, like your passport, your I-20, previous driver cards (from your country or other states), I-94, proof of address, etc. Link for your I-94: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search You will need to take a written test and a driving test as well. Please email us: Indianapolis@antares.edu
We require at least 14 days notice to transfer out, and you must attend at least one term (3 months) before transferring (unless there are exceptional circumstances). As long as these requirements are met, we can effect a transfer within 72 hours. First you must apply with your new school and send us an acceptance letter and transfer form.
